The FLC men's soccer team traveled to Aptos on Friday for an evening match at Cabrillo College. The four-hour drive took its toll on the Falcons as the host Seahawks jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead with a goal in the second minute of play. Another goal ten minutes later made it 2-0, but the Falcons refused to surrender. After some halftime adjustments, the Falcons took control. A goal in the 70th minute by sophomore Luis Aguilar closed the gap to 2-1. Meanwhile, the Falcons continued to pepper the goal with shots. Unfortunately, three hit the posts and one of those turned out to be the backbreaker as the Seahawks took the rebound and countered with a goal of their own. The 3-1 final score was not representative of how close the match really was.
