Men’s soccer humbled by Fresno

The Falcons found out quickly on Friday afternoon why Fresno City is the number one ranked team in northern California.  The Rams scored twice in the first five minutes and never eased off as they dominated all aspects of the match, winning 5-0 in Fresno.  Fresno's Johnny Rodriguez also lived up to the hype as the best player in the state, scoring four goals against the Falcons.  "Sometimes you just have to tip your hat," noted FLC coach Justin Johnson.  "Fresno is an excellent team;  they're fast, talented, and well-coached."  The Falcons now have all week to prepare for their big match against Delta on Friday in Stockton, which could ultimately decide the Big 8 champion.  The Falcons are just two points ahead of the Mustangs atop the Big 8 standings with five matches to play.
