The FLC softball team nearly ended the 2017 season with an improbable upset of Sierra College on Tuesday afternoon in Rocklin, but instead were edged by the Wolverines 3-2. The Falcons fought back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the score in the fifth inning as they scratched out two runs on just one hit. Falcon pitcher Lauren Orris had another outstanding game as she limited the vaunted Sierra offense to just two earned runs on seven hits.
