The FLC women's tennis team had a golden opportunity to win their first Big 8 match of 2019 on Friday afternoon, but couldn't get the elusive win as Santa Rosa scored a 5-4 victory at the Falcon Tennis Complex.
The host Pirates jumped out to a 3-0 lead as they swept the doubles, then continued their dominance while winning 5 of 6 singles matches for a final score of 8-1 over the Falcons on Tuesday afternoon in Modesto.
The Folsom Lake College men’s and women’s tennis teams both sent two singles players and two doubles pairs to the CCCAA State Championship tournament in Ojai and both teams came home with similar results.
