Falcons Dominate Modesto With 6–1 Victory

The Folsom Lake College Falcons men's soccer team capped off their Halloween afternoon with a treat of their own, routing Modesto 6–1 at home in a commanding performance that showcased balanced scoring and crisp teamwork.

First-Half Firepower

The Falcons wasted no time setting the tone. In just the sixth minute, forward Garrett Veirs opened the scoring off a setup from Blake Garcia, who would go on to orchestrate several key chances. Four minutes later, the duo struck again — Veirs doubling the lead with another Garcia assist.

The early barrage continued as Esmatullah Yawari added a third goal in the 25th minute, also assisted by Garcia, giving Folsom Lake a comfortable 3–0 cushion at halftime. Garcia's vision and passing earned him three assists on the day, while Veirs' pair of early goals set the tone for a relentless offensive display.

Second-Half Surge

The Falcons didn't slow down after the break. Samuel Arnold extended the lead to 4–0 in the 54th minute off a beautiful setup from Paola Clark, who finished with two assists. Just eight minutes later, Angel Ayala Rodriguez made it 5–0, again assisted by Clark.

Defender Issac Harrison added the sixth goal in the 84th minute, converting a feed from Nathaniel Fong to cap the Falcons' scoring run before Modesto tallied a late consolation goal in the 88th minute.

Defensive Discipline and Control

Goalkeeper Danny Tejeda was steady in goal, recording three saves and allowing just one score in the final minutes. Despite a yellow card to Yawari and a red card to Modesto's Julian Maldonado late in the game, Folsom Lake maintained control from start to finish, dominating possession and tempo.

Statement Win for the Falcons

With the 6–1 victory, Folsom Lake showcased their offensive depth and creative playmaking, with six different players involved in scoring and assists. The Falcons continue to look sharp heading into the final stretch of the season, combining precision passing, tight defense, and aggressive attacking to stay dominant at home
