Folsom Lake College Women's Soccer Stars Earn Scholarships, Continue Program’s Championship Legacy

After winning back-to-back CCCAA State Championships, Folsom Lake College's  women's soccer program has added another remarkable chapter to its legacy. This year, ten standout student-athletes have earned scholarships to continue their academic and athletic journeys at four-year universities across the country—spanning NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA programs.

The scholarships are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and resilience of these athletes—and a reflection of the program's continued excellence on and off the field.

Scholarship Recipients:

  • Natalie Mack – John Jay College, NCAA Division III

  • Katy Shurson – John Jay College, NCAA Division III

  • Tea Reyes – Sacramento State, NCAA Division I

  • Hope Martin-Northrup – Sacramento State, NCAA Division I

  • Laila Hadid – Chico State, NCAA Division II

  • Kamaya Yazzie – Dominican University, NCAA Division II

  • Andrea Hernandez – Jessup University, NAIA

  • Destin Armstrong – Chico State, NCAA Division II

  • Mika Voyer – Lesley University, NAIA

  • Linnea Sybersma – Cal State Monterey Bay, NCAA Division II

With players heading to schools ranging from NCAA Division I powerhouses like Sacramento State to competitive Division II and III programs and NAIA institutions, FLC's impact on collegiate soccer is both wide-reaching and deeply rooted in player development. These achievements follow a historic two-year run that saw the Falcons dominate the CCCAA and build a culture of excellence that extends far beyond the scoreboard.

"Folsom Lake gave us the foundation to grow as athletes and as people," said Tea Reyes. "Now we get to take that with us into the next chapter."
