Andres Almedo serves as the Goalkeeper Coach for Folsom Lake College Women’s Soccer, bringing a strong background in collegiate athletics, performance training, and player development.

A former goalkeeper, Andres competed at American River College from 2014–2016, where he logged over 1,000 minutes in goal and recorded more than 100 saves. He earned his Associate of Arts in Physical Education before transferring to California State University, Stanislaus, where he played the final two years of his collegiate career on an athletic scholarship from 2016–2018. He later completed his Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Science in 2019.

Andres continued to build his expertise through an internship with UC Davis Athletics in Sports Performance from 2021–2022. During that same period, he worked with both the men’s and women’s soccer programs at American River College, helping guide the men’s team to a Final Four appearance.

Outside of coaching, Andres works in the fitness industry as a Fitness Manager, leading daily department operations, trainer development, and client retention.
