Bio

Craig Perez graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and a California Teaching Credential. As a junior tennis player, he was coached by Bay Area tennis legend "Blackie Jones" and ranked in the top thirty in Northern California while attending Clayton Valley High School. Craig then attended Diablo Valley College in the early seventies where he played #1 and was selected All Conference in 1973-74. In 1975 he was recruited to Sacramento State by another Northern California legend, Jack Jossi where he competed in the Far Western Conference.

For over thirty five years, Craig worked for Sacramento State as the Director of the CSUS Aquatic Center and as Director of Development for University Advancement. He holds professional certifications with the United States Professional Tennis Association, US Sailing Instructor Trainer, and Professional Ski Instructors of America Level III and enjoys spending time with his wife Ann sailing on the San Francisco Bay.
