After having three of their last four matches go to a deciding fifth set (and very nearly all four matches), the Falcons went to Modesto on Friday and made quick work of the Pirates, winning in straight sets, 25-11, 25-11, 25-21. It was a balanced effort from the entire squad, including several who have seen limited playing time this season. Setter Kennedy Crawford set the tone early, serving six straight points to start the match 6-0. She did even better in the second set as the Falcons started 11-0. Caitlin Dillon and Julin Kenison led the team with 9 kills each, Crawford recorded 29 assists, and Libero Maddie Pearce tallied 12 digs.
The Falcons improved to 8-2 overall and 2-1 in Big 8 play. They'll host Delta College (10-4, 2-0) – ranked one spot ahead of the Falcons at #9 in California – on Wednesday evening at Falcon Gym.
